न किञ्चित्साधवो धीरा भक्ता ह्येकान्तिनो मम ।
वाञ्छन्त्यपि मया दत्तं कैवल्यमपुनर्भवम् ॥

na kiñcit sādhavo dhīrā bhaktā hy ekāntino mama |
vāñchanty api mayā dattaṁ kaivalyam apunar-bhavam ||

“My virtuous, wise, and one-pointed bhaktas [i.e., my bhaktas who foster prīti solely for me] do not desire anything, not even absolute non-repetition of birth [i.e., mokṣa] when offered [to them] by me.”

Commentary

dhīrā dhīmantaḥ | yato mamaikāntinaḥ, mayy eva prīti-yuktāḥ | yad vā, bhaktyaika-niṣṭhā-yuktāḥ | ato mayā dattam api na gṛhṇanti, kiṁ punar vaktavyaṁ na vāñchantīty arthaḥ | yad vā, vāñchanty api kiṁ punar vaktavyam, na gṛhṇantīti kaivalyam ātyantikam api | apunar-bhavaṁ mokṣam |

“‘Wise’ (dhīrāḥ) means possessed of understanding [alt., intellect] (dhī). Since they are one-pointed upon me, meaning, they are endowed with prīti solely for me, or, alternately, they are endowed with singular fixity by virtue of bhakti, they do not accept [mokṣa] even when given by me. What more is to be said? They do not [even] desire [it]. This is the meaning. Alternately [the meaning is as follows], they do not even desire [anything]. [So,] What more is to be said? They do not accept even absolute (kaivalyam) non-repetition of birth (mokṣa).”
