“[According to the ṭīkās of Jīva Gosvāmī and Viśvanātha Cakravartī:]
The non-attachment (vairāgyam) wherein there is intentness in relation to Kṛṣṇa of one partaking of objects of the senses as appropriate while being detached [from them] is called proper (yuktam).”

“[According to the ṭīkā of Mukunda Dāsa Gosvāmī:] The intentness upon that which is related to Kṛṣṇa [e.g., prasādī garlands, candana, and so forth] of one partaking of objects of the senses as appropriate while being detached [from them] is called proper (yuktam).”

(Durgama-saṅgamanī-ṭīkā)

“He describes the aforementioned non-attachment (vairāgyam) certainly suitable for entrance into bhakti: anāsaktasya … [i.e., he states this verse]. The non-attachment (vairāgyam) of a person ‘partaking’ (upayuñjataḥ) of objects of the senses (viṣayān) ‘as appropriate’ (yathārham), that is, only so as shall be suitable to one’s [practice of] bhakti, while being ‘non-attached’ (anāsaktasya) [to them] is called proper (yuktam). Here [i.e., in such non-attachment (vairāgyam)], intentness (nirbandhaḥ) shall be in relation to Kṛṣṇa. This is the meaning.”
