(Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta: 2.5.61)
“[Śrī Nārada along with Uddhava to Gopa Kumāra:] Indeed that very far off abode [i.e., Goloka], the experience of the bliss there, and even the means of attainment (sādhana) of that, is to be prayed for and [is] difficult to attain even for us.”
Commentary
Śrī Sanātana Gosvāmīpāda comments that “the experience of the bliss there” (tat-sukhānubhavaḥ) refers to experience, that is, attainment, of the bliss of that abode [i.e., Goloka] in the form of meeting the Lord of that plane, the blessed Son of Nanda, sporting together [with him], and so forth (tasya padasya yat sukhaṁ tal-loka-nātha-Śrī-Nanda-nandana-sandarśana-sahavihārādi-rūpaṁ tasya anubhavaś ca prāptiḥ). That the sādhana of that is “difficult to attain even for us” (asmākam api durghaṭam) means it is difficult to attain even for we who are eternal associates (nitya-parṣadas) of Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa, and thus it is only something that can be prayed for by us [i.e., it is not something the associates of Dvārakā or other domains can actually attain] (tasya sukhasya padasya vā sādhanam api durghaṭam yato’smākaṁ nitya-pārṣadatādimatām api prārthyam).
