न चैवं विस्मय: कार्यो भवता भगवत्यजे ।
योगेश्वरेश्वरे कृष्णे यत एतद् विमुच्यते ॥
na caivaṁ vismayaḥ kāryo bhavatā bhagavaty aje |
yogeśvareśvare kṛṣṇe yata etad vimucyate ||
(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: 10.29.16)
“You should also not be so amazed by Bhagavān, the Unborn, the Master of the masters of yoga, Kṛṣṇa, because of whom this [entire world] is liberated.”
Commentary
gocārakatve’pi bhagavati devakī-putratve’py aje gopa-strī-lāmpaṭye’pi yogeśvarāṇām apīśvare kṛṣṇe sarvāvatāriṇi | yataḥ etat sthāvarādikam api vimucyate iti śrī-svāmi-caraṇāḥ | yad vā, tal-līlā-parikarād bhinnam api jagad adhunāpi tat-tat-kāma-snehādi-bhāvam anusmṛtya vimucyate guṇa-pravāhān muktaṁ bhavati |

“Although a cowherd, he is Bhagavān. Although the Son of Devakī, he is unborn. Although covetous of cowherd women, he is the master of the masters of yoga. And although he is Kṛṣṇa, he is the source of all avatāras. Śrī Svāmīpāda [i.e., Śrīdhara Svāmī, commented]: ‘Because of whom (yataḥ) this (etat), that is, even immobile entities and so forth [i.e., all living beings throughout the universe], become liberated (vimucyate).’ Alternately, even though distinct from the associates in his līlā, the world [i.e., the living beings in the world] even now [i.e., today] is liberated, that is, becomes freed from the flow of the guṇas, by remembering the bhāvas of desire (kāma), affection (sneha), and so forth related to him [i.e., the bhāvas fostered by the gopīs, Śrī Nanda, and others as described in SB 10.29.15].”
