अनित्यमसुखं लोकमिमं प्राप्य भजस्व माम् ॥

anityam asukhaṁ lokam imaṁ prāpya bhajasva mām ||
(Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā: 9.33)

“Having obtained this plane of impermanence and meager happiness, worship me.”

Commentary

atas tvam imaṁ rājarṣi-rūpaṁ dehaṁ prāpya labdhvā māṁ bhajasva | kiṁ cānityam adhruvam asukhaṁ sukha-rahitaṁ cemaṁ martya-lokaṁ prāpya anityatvād vilambam akurvan asukhatvāc ca sukhārtham udyamaṁ hitvā mām eva bhajasvety arthaḥ |

“Therefore, having obtained this body, that is, the form of a royal seer (rājarṣi), you should worship me. Moreover, having obtained this mortal plane, impermanent (anityam) and devoid of happiness (asukham), that is, because of the impermanence [in this plane], not delaying, and because of the absence of happiness [in this plane], giving up endeavors for happiness [herein], worship me alone. This is the meaning.”

tasmāt tvam api rājarṣir imaṁ lokaṁ prāpya māṁ bhajasva | anityaṁ naśvaram asukham īṣat sukhaṁ | vināśiny alpa-sukhe’smin loke rājya-spṛhāṁ vihāya nityam anantānandaṁ mām upāsya prāpnuhīti tvarātra vyajyate |
(Gītā-bhūsaṇa-ṭīkā)

“Therefore, you too, a royal seer (rājarṣi), should worship me, having obtained this plane of impermanence (anityam) and meager happiness (asukham). Giving up desire for a kingdom in this perishing plane of meager happiness, worship and attain me, who am eternal, unending, and of the nature of bliss. Here swiftness is suggested [i.e., in this plane of impermanence where all other pursuits are ultimately futile and unfulfilling, one should take to worship of Bhagavān promptly].”
