gorā mora guṇera sāgara

prabhu kahe—ihā haite yāha vṛndāvana |
nirantara kara kṛṣṇa-nāma-saṅkīrtana ||
eka nāmābhāse tomāra pāpa-doṣa yābe |
āra nāma haite kṛṣṇa-caraṇa pāibe ||
(Caitanya-caritāmṛta: 2.25.198–199)
“Prabhu said [to Subuddhi Rāya], ‘Go from here to Vṛndāvana, and always engage in saṅkīrtana of Kṛṣṇa’s name. By one [instance of] nāmābhāsa, the plight of your pāpa will go away, and through the name you will attain Kṛṣṇa’s feet.’”
go-aṅge yata loma, tata sahasra vatsara |
go-vadhī raurava-madhye pāce nirantara ||
(Caitanya-caritāmṛta: 1.17.166)
[Śrīman Mahāprabhu:] “Cow-killers continuously rot in Raurava [i.e., hell] for as many thousands of years as there are hairs on the bodies of the cows [they kill].”
śrī-caitanya-mukhodgīrṇā hare-kṛṣṇeti varṇakāḥ |
majjayanto jagat premṇi vijayantāṁ tad-āhvayāḥ ||
(Laghu Bhāgavatāmṛta: 1.4)
“May these names made of the syllables Ha-re Kṛṣ-ṇa pronounced by Śrī Caitanya’s mouth inundate the world with prema and triumph completely!”
hare kṛṣṇa hare kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa hare hare |
hare rāma hare rāma rāma rāma hare hare ||
prabhu kahe—kahilāṅ ei mahāmantra |
ihā japa’ giyā sabe kariyā nirbandha ||
ihā haite sarva-siddhi ha-ibe sabāra |
sarva-kṣaṇa bala’ ithe vidhi nāhi āra ||
(Caitanya-bhāgavata: 2.23.76–78)
“‘Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.’ Prabhu said, ‘I have told you all this mahāmantra. Chant it intently. By doing so, you will attain all perfection. Chant always. There is not other rule in this regard.’”
e saba-prasāde likhi caitanya-līlā-guṇa |
yaiche taiche likhi, kari āpana pāvana ||
(Caitanya-caritāmṛta: 3.11.10)
“By the grace of them all [i.e., by the grace of Śrī Caitanya, Śrī Nityānanda, Śrī Advaita, their bhaktas, and the six gosvāmīs in particular], I write about Caitanya’s līlā and qualities. Howsoever I write [i.e., as I write to the best of my ability, as meager and faulty as that may be], I [at least] purify myself.”
śrī-caitanya-mano’bhīṣṭaṁ sthāpitaṁ yena bhū-tale |
so’yaṁ rūpaḥ kadā mahyaṁ dadāti sva-padāntikam ||
(Prema-bhakti-candrikā: 2)
“When will he, this Śrī Rūpa by whom the cherished object of Śrī Caitanya’s heart has been established on the surface of the earth, bestow upon me nearness to his feet?”
