Faces like the full, early autumn moon,
Wearing a tiara and diadem,
Sporting blue and yellow garb,
In the delightful early autumn forest,

The Clever Pair,
Sweet Rādhikā and Mādhava.”

“Remembering, mentioning, playing [alt., joking], looking, conversing privately, fancying, pursuing, and completing the act [itself]—the wise say these are the eight aspects of intercourse. The opposite of these are the eight characteristics of brahmacarya.”

“Here [i.e., in Vraja] sports
Some [extraordinary] king (rājā) among poets (kavis),
Known as Kṛṣṇa Dāsa,
Who is an adhikārī of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa’s kuñja,
A carrier of the pure siddhānta regarding the flow of their rasa,
Worthy of being sung of by all virtuous persons,
And an abode of all qualities.”

śrī-sanātana-pādābja-dvandvaṁ vande muhur muhuḥ |
yat prasāda-lavenāpi kṛṣṇe bhakti-raso bhavet ||

“I offer obeisance again and again unto the two lotus feet of Śrī Sanātana, by even a trace of whose grace bhakti-rasa related to Kṛṣṇa can manifest.”
