भवतामपि भूयान्मे यदि श्रद्दधते वच: ।
वैशारदी धी: श्रद्धात: स्त्रीबालानां च मे यथा ॥

bhavatām api bhūyān me yadi śraddadhate vacaḥ |
vaiśāradī dhīḥ śraddhātaḥ strī-bālānāṁ ca me yathā ||
(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: 7.7.17)

“[Prahlāda Mahārāja to his classmates:] If you have śraddhā in my words, then by virtue of that śraddhā may you all too become adept in mind, just as women and children, as well as I, have so become.”

Commentary

According to Śrīdhara Svāmīpāda, ‘adept in mind’ (vaiśāradī dhīḥ) means expert in cutting away identification with the body and so forth (dehādy-ahaṅkāra-ccheda-nipuṇa). According to Viśvanātha Cakravartīpāda the phrase ‘adept in mind’ (vaiśāradī dhīḥ) means of mind fixed upon Bhagavān, who is characterized as being all-knowing [alt., possessed of profound knowledge] (vaiśāradī viśārado bhagavāṁs tad-viṣayā), with the implication being that by virtue of the śraddhā they have attained by Prahlāda’s grace, they will eventually attain bhakti, and by virtue of bhakti, prema (śraddhā iti mad-anugrahāt śraddhā śraddhāto bhaktiḥ bhakteḥ prema).”
