(Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta: 2.6.213)

“Still [i.e., even though every Vraja-vāsīs feels that they alone are the most dear to Kṛṣṇa, acts as such with Kṛṣṇa, and observes Kṛṣṇa genuinely reciprocate with them as such], satiation never arises within even one of them. [Rather,] The thirst produced by [their] prema, which is variegated and the mother of dainya (humility), increases [continuously].”

(Excerpt from the Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā)

“Satiation means fulfillment [i.e., complete satisfaction]. And it is not only that satiation does not arise; from their [i.e., any Vraja-vāsī’s] particular prema various thirsts related to Śrī Kṛṣṇa continuously increase. Thus the second half of this verse is spoken (prema-tṛṣṇā …). “Prema-tṛṣṇā” means the intense desire [lit., thirst] produced by [their] prema. What is its nature? It is the mother (mātā) of humility, as the nature of this particular supreme prema is that it generally culminates in the distress of separation even during union [with Kṛṣṇa].”
