नामसङ्कीर्तनं प्रोक्तं कृष्णस्य प्रेमसम्पदि ।
बलिष्ठं साधनं श्रेष्ठं परमाकर्षमन्त्रवत् ॥
nāma-saṅkīrtanaṁ proktaṁ kṛṣṇasya prema-sampadi |
baliṣṭhaṁ sādhanaṁ śreṣṭhaṁ paramākarṣa-mantra-vat ||
(Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta: 2.3.164)
“Nāma-saṅkīrtana is said to be the most powerful and excellent sādhana for [attaining] the fortune of prema as it is like an extraordinary attraction mantra [i.e., as an extraordinary mantra can attract even very difficult to attain objects from afar and thereby cause acquisition of them, so nāma-saṅkīrtana can attract and bring about the attainment of Kṛṣṇa-prema].”
Commentary
sarvotkarṣa-carama-kāṣṭhā-prāptaḥ phala-viśeṣaḥ saṅkīrtanād eva sidhyatīty uktam eva | tac-chraiṣṭhye hetuṁ punar atiharṣeṇābhivyañjayanti—nāmeti |

“The special attainment reached at the ultimate, most excellent pinnacle of all is attained only by means of saṅkīrtana. This has been definitively stated. [Thus], They [i.e., the Viṣṇu-dūtas] with great delight again indicate the cause in regard to its supremacy: nāma … [i.e., they speak BB 2.3.164].”
