तद्वै तस्य प्रियक्रीडावनभूमौ सदा रहः ।
निवसंस्तनुयादेवं सम्पद्येताचिराद्ध्रुवम् ॥

tad vai tasya priya-krīḍā-vana-bhūmau sadā rahaḥ |
nivasaṁs tanuyād evaṁ sampadyetācirād dhruvam ||
(Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta: 2.5.220)

“Always residing in seclusion in the land of his dear play forests, one should develop that [i.e., prema]. In this way, it certainly and without delay becomes manifest.”

Commentary

atas tasya śrī-kṛṣṇasya priya-krīḍāyā vana-bhūmau, tatrāpi raha ekānte sadā nivasan tat prema tanuyāt sādhanānuṣṭhāna-dvārā vistārayet | yad vā, tat-sādhanaṁ tanuyāt vistāreṇānutiṣṭhet | evam ukta-prakāreṇa acirāt dhruvaṁ niścitaṁ sampadyate tad vastu |
(Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā)

“Therefore, always residing in the land of his, Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s, dear play forests, and therein, in seclusion (rahaḥ), one should develop (tanuyāt) that prema, that is, one should expand [that prema] by means of performance of sādhana, or, [the sense is that] one should perform (tanuyāt), that is, practice in profusion, sādhana of that [i.e., of prema]. In this way, meaning, [by doing sādhana] in the aforesaid manner, that object [i.e., prema] certainly (dhruvam) and without delay becomes manifest.”
