स्मरन्ति च ।

“They remember as well [i.e., the Smṛti-śāstras also state this].”
Commentary
dhyātṝṇāṁ dehendriya-manasāṁ naiścalyaṁ smaranti | tac cāsanād vinā na sambhaved | ataḥ sāsanenaiva bhāvyam iti tathaivoktam |
(Excerpt from the Govinda-bhāṣya on Vedānda-sūtra: 4.1.10)
“They [i.e., the Smṛti-śāstras] remember the motionlessness of the body, senses, and mind, of a meditator [e.g., BG 6.11–13]. And that too, without sitting, is not possible. Therefore, it was so stated, “One is to be situated only with a sitting posture.’”
