“[Mahārāja Rahūgaṇa to Jaḍa Bharata:] Aho! Human birth is the best of all births. What is the use of other births even in the hereafter [i.e., in Svarga] where there is no abundant association with great souls who have dedicated themselves to the glory of Hṛṣīkeśa?”

(Excerpt from the Sārārtha-darśinī-ṭīkā)

“[‘Great souls who have dedicated themselves to the glory of Hṛṣīkeśa’ (hṛṣīkeśa-yaśaḥ-kṛtātmanāṁ mahātmanāṁ) means those] Whose very selves, that is, whose bodies, minds, intellects, endeavors, and jīvātmās, are absorbed in the glories of Hṛṣīkeśa, that is, Hari who attracts all the senses of his bhaktas.”
