तत्र मत्परमप्रेष्ठं लप्स्यसे स्वगुरुं पुनः ।
सर्वं तस्यैव कृपया नितरां ज्ञास्यसि स्वयम् ॥
tatra mat-parama-preṣṭhaṁ lapsyase sva-guruṁ punaḥ |
sarvaṁ tasyaiva kṛpayā nitarāṁ jñāsyasi svayam ||
(Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta: 2.2.236)
“There you will meet again your own guru, he who is most dear to me. By his grace specifically, you will understand everything completely yourself.”
Commentary
nanu sākṣād atra tvam eva virājase kartavyam aśeṣaṁ tvat-prasādād vijānīyāṁ tatra ca ko’pi mad-avalambo nāsti? iti cet tatrāha—tatreti vraja-bhūmau mat-parama-preṣṭham iti svasmād api sva-bhaktānām adhika-mahimno’bhiprāyeṇa, matto’pi tasmād adhikaṁ jñāsyatīti bhāvaḥ | ata evoktaṁ—sarvaṁ nitarāṁ svayam iti |

“When [the Mahāpuruṣa, the form of Śrī Bhagavān who presides over Brahmaloka, advises Gopa Kumāra to go from there to the land of Vraja, and Gopa Kumāra says], ‘Well, you yourself are present here in person. I can learn everything to be done by your grace [from you right here in Brahmaloka right now]. And there who is my support [i.e., from whom can I learn everything I need to do there in Vraja]?’ [then] to this he says tatra … [i.e., the Mahāpuruṣa speaks this verse in response]. In the land of Vraja [you will meet your own guru,] he who is most dear to me. This is [said] with the intent of my own bhaktas having more greatness than even myself. The purport is that you will understand more from him than even from me. Therefore, ‘everything’ (sarvam), ‘completely’ (nitarām), and ‘yourself’ (svayam) are stated.”
