धर्मिष्टं धनं नॄणां ।
dharma iṣṭaṁ dhanaṁ nṝṇāṁ |

[Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa answer’s Uddhava’s question, “What is wealth?”:] “Dharma is desirable wealth [i.e., not cows, horses, etc.].”

uttamaṁ dhanaṁ dharma-lakṣaṇam |

“The greatest wealth is an attribute of dharma [i.e., dharma is the greatest wealth, not money, land, etc.].”
