pada-kāntyā jita-madano
mukha-kāntyā khaṇḍita-kamala-maṇi-garvaḥ |
śrī-rūpāśrita-caraṇaḥ
kṛpayatu mayi gaura-govindaḥ ||

“May Gaura Govinda—
He by the splendor of whose feet
Madana [i.e., Kāma] is vanquished,
He by the splendor of whose face
The pride of lotuses and jewels is crushed,
He at whose feet Śrī Rūpa has taken shelter—
Bestow grace upon me.”

“Lightning and cloud figures,
Cloud and lighting garments,
Naturally and mildly smiling, beautiful faces,
Hearts pierced by the arrows
Of one another’s side-long glances—
Joyfully I offer obeisance to them,

smaraṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ keliḥ prekṣaṇaṁ guhya-bhāṣaṇam |
saṅkalpo’dhyavasāyaś ca kriyā-nivṛttir eva ca ||
etan maithunam aṣṭāṅgaṁ pravadanti manīṣiṇaḥ |
viparītaṁ brahmacaryam etad evāṣṭa-lakṣaṇam ||

“Remembering, mentioning, playing [alt., joking], looking, conversing privately, fancying, pursuing, and completing the act [itself]—the wise say these are the eight aspects of intercourse. The opposite of these are the eight characteristics of brahmacarya.”

śrī-sanātana-pādābja-dvandvaṁ vande muhur muhuḥ |
yat prasāda-lavenāpi kṛṣṇe bhakti-raso bhavet ||
(Sādhana-dīpikā: 8)

“I offer obeisance again and again unto the two lotus feet of Śrī Sanātana, by even a trace of whose grace bhakti-rasa related to Kṛṣṇa can manifest.”

śrī-rūpa-mañjarī kuryād atulāṁ karuṇāṁ mayi

śrī-rūpa-mañjarī kuryād atulāṁ karuṇāṁ mayi |
vṛṣabhānu-sutā-pāda-padma-prāptir yayā bhavet ||

“May Śrī Rūpa Mañjarī bestow upon me [her] unparalleled compassion, by which attainment of the lotus feet of Vṛṣabhānu’s daughter shall [certainly] occur.”

śrīmad-rūpa-pada-dvandve hṛdi me sphuratāṁ sadā |
rāgānugādhikārī syād yat kṛpā-lava-mātrataḥ ||

“May Śrīmad Rūpa’s two feet, by just a trace of the grace of which one can become an adhikārī for rāgānugā-bhakti, be ever manifest in my heart.”

śrīmad-rūpa-padāmbhoja-dvandvaṁ vande muhur muhuḥ |
yasya prasādād ajño’pi tan-mata-jñāna-bhāg bhavet ||

“I offer obeisance again and again unto the two lotus feet of Śrīmad Rūpa, by whose grace even an ignorant person can become endowed with knowledge of his conception.”

śrī-rūpa-caraṇa-dvandva-rāginaṁ vraja-vāsinam |
śrī-jīvaṁ satataṁ vande mandeṣv ānanda-dāyinam ||
(Sādhana-dīpikā: 8)

“I offer obeisance always unto Śrī Jīva, the resident of Vraja who is lovingly attached to the feet of Śrī Rūpa and is a bestower of bliss upon the dull.”
