yo mamaivārcanaṁ kṛtvā tatra prāpaṇam uttamam

yo mamaivārcanaṁ kṛtvā tatra prāpaṇam uttamam |
śeṣam annaṁ samaśnāti tataḥ saukhyataraṁ nu kim ||
(Varāha Purāṇa; cited in Hari-bhakti-vilāsa 9.390)

“What greater happiness is there than that of one who worships me with an excellent offering and then partakes in full of the food remnants?”

navam annaṁ phalaṁ puṣpaṁ nivedya madhusūdane |
paścād bhuṅkte svayaṁ yaś ca tasya tuṣyati keśavaḥ ||

“Keśava satisfies one who offers fresh grain, fruit, and flowers to Madhusūdana and thereafter personally partakes [of the remnants].”

surata-vardhanaṁ śoka-nāśanaṁ
svarita-veṇunā suṣṭhu cumbitam |
itara-rāga-vismāraṇaṁ nṛṇāṁ
vitara vīra nas te’dharāmṛtam ||
(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: 10.31.14)

“O hero! Please give us the nectar of your lips, which increases amour, destroys sorrow, is finely kissed by your resounding flute, and causes human beings’ forgetfulness of other attachments.”

[Uddhava to Kṛṣṇa:] “Adorned with garlands, fragrances, garments, and ornaments enjoyed by you, and partaking of your remnants, your servants can certainly conquer your māyā.”

“Śrī Kṛṣṇadeva, he by whose name heaps of the most severe sins are completely destroyed—we are partakers of his remnants. We are partakers of the remnants of he of astonishing acts who within his childhood līlā felled those such as Pūtanā.”

yasyocchiṣṭaṁ hi vāñchanti brahmādyā ṛṣayo’malāḥ |
siddhādyāś ca hares tasya vayam ucchiṣṭa-bhojinaḥ ||

“Hari, he whose remnants the devatās led by Brahmā, the flawless ṛṣis, the siddhas, and others desire—we are partakers of his remnants.”

mahāprasāde govinde nāma-brahmaṇi vaiṣṇave |
svalpa-puṇya-vatāṁ rājan viśvāso naiva jāyate ||
(Attributed to Mahābhārata)

“O King, faith in mahāprasāda, Govinda, the name [i.e., Bhagavān‘s name], the Veda, and the Vaiṣṇava certainly does not arise in those possessed of little piety.”

brahmārpaṇaṁ brahma havir brahmāgnau brahmaṇā hutam

brahmārpaṇaṁ brahma havir brahmāgnau brahmaṇā hutam |
brahmaiva tena gantavyaṁ brahma-karma-samādhinā ||
(Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā: 4.24)

“The ladle is Brahman. The oblation is Brahman. The [act of] offering is Brahman [performed] by Brahman into the fire [which is] of [the nature of] Brahman. By one who is consciously absorbed in the action [which is] of [the nature of] Brahman, that which is to be attained [the goal of performing the offering] is Brahman alone.”

ahaṁ vaiśvānaro bhūtvā prāṇināṁ deham āśritaḥ |
prāṇāpāna-samāyuktaḥ pacāmy annaṁ catur-vidham ||
(Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā: 15.4)

[Kṛṣṇa:] “Becoming the digestive fire (vaiśvānara) situated in the body of living beings united with the prāṇa and apāna [vital-airs], I digest the four kinds of food.”
