ऐश्वर्यस्य समग्रस्य वीर्यस्य यशसः श्रियः ।
ज्ञानवैराग्ययोश्चैव षण्णां भग इतीङ्गना ॥
aiśvaryasya samagrasya vīryasya yaśasaḥ śriyaḥ |
jñāna-vairāgyayoś caiva ṣaṇṇāṁ bhaga itīṅganā ||

“[The word] Bhaga [i.e., ‘excellence’] is an indication of six [attributes]: complete mastery, potency, fame, wealth, knowledge, and non-attachment.”
Commentary
aiśvaryaṁ sarva-vaśīkāritvam | samagrasyeti sarvatrānveti | vīryaṁ maṇi-mantrāder iva prabhāvaḥ | yaśo vāṅ-manaḥ-śarīrāṇāṁ sādguṇya-khyātiḥ | śrīḥ sarva-prakārā sampat | jñānaṁ sarvajñatvam | vairāgyaṁ prapañca-vastv-anāsaktiḥ |

“‘Mastery’ (aiśvarya) refers to being subduing of everything. ’Complete’ (samagrasya) follows everywhere [i.e., it applies to all six of the attributes mentioned in the verse]. ‘Potency’ (vīrya) refers to efficacy like [that] of jewels, mantras, and so on [i.e., capacity to produce incomprehensible effects]. ‘Fame’ (yaśas) refers to renown for excellence in speech, mind, and body. ‘Wealth’ (śrī) refers to all types of resources. ‘Knowledge’ (jñāna) refers to being all-knowing. ‘Non-attachment’ (vairāgya) refers to the absence of attachment to objects of the phenomenal world.”
