(Excerpt from the Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā)
“‘The provisions for the departure of the prāṇa [from the body]’ means [the name of Hari is one’s] assistance in the next world. ‘The remedy for the disease of saṁsāra’ means [the name of Hari is] a bestower of mokṣa. [‘Deliverance from suffering and sorrow’ means] That because of which deliverance from suffering and sorrow here in this world as well occurs, or [it refers to] deliverance from both [the suffering and sorrow of this world and the next], or, [it refers to] that because of which deliverance from the suffering and sorrow of non-attainment of Bhagavān occur, that is, [the name of Hari’s] being a cause of attaining Śrī Vaikuṇṭhaloka. Alternately, [the sense is as follows] ‘What [is the use] of so much speech? The conclusion is verily [that the name of Hari is] deliverance from all the suffering and sorrow in this world and the next.’”
