श्रीकृष्ण तव कारुण्यमहिम्ने मे नमो नमः ।
यो मां नीचं दुराचारं नित्यपापरतं शठम् ॥१॥
अहो तस्या अवस्थायाः सताम् इव दशामिमाम् ।
तस्मात्स्थानादिदं स्थानं मथुरामण्डलं शुभम् ॥२॥
śrī-kṛṣṇa tava kāruṇya-mahimne me namo namaḥ |
yo māṁ nīcaṁ durācāraṁ nitya-pāpa-rataṁ śaṭham ||1||
aho tasyā avasthāyāḥ satām iva daśām imām |
tasmāt sthānād idaṁ sthānaṁ mathurā-maṇḍalaṁ śubham ||2||
O Śrī Kṛṣṇa, my obeisance and obeisance unto the power of your compassion, which has caused [even] me, who am lowly, ill-behaved, ever-given to sin, and deceitful, to attain from that state [I was in before] this sādhu-like condition, and from that place [where I was before] this auspicious place of Mathurā Maṇḍala …
यस्मिन्ज्ञानकृतं वापि सर्वपापं न तिष्ठति ।
चतुर्धा यत्र मुक्तिः स्यात्त्वं च सन्निहितः सदा ॥३॥
yasmin jñāna-kṛtaṁ vāpi sarva-pāpaṁ na tiṣṭhati |
caturdhā yatra muktiḥ syāt tvaṁ ca sannihitaḥ sadā ||3||
… [the Mathurā Maṇḍala] wherein no sins remain, even those committed knowingly, and where fourfold mukti can manifest and you are always near …
यस्मिन्स्वसन्महिम्नेवार्पितो वससि नित्यदा ।
निजमाधुर्यसम्पत्त्या मधुरेति यदुच्यते ॥४॥
yasmin sva-san-mahimnevārpito vasasi nityadā |
nija-mādhurya-sampattyā madhureti yad ucyate ||4||
… [the Mathurā Maṇḍala] wherein you forever reside as though having invested your own eternal power [into the place], and which is known as Madhurā [i.e., “the place of sweetness”] because of the presence of your own mādhurya [there] …
तथा तस्माच्च दुःसङ्गाद्यस्त्वत्प्रियतमस्य हि ।
श्रीमच्चैतन्यदेवस्य सङ्गं नीलाचले तथा ॥५॥
tathā tasmāc ca duḥsaṅgād yas tvat-priyatamasya hi |
śrīmac-caitanya-devasya saṅgaṁ nīlācale tathā ||5||
… [my obeisance and obeisance unto that power of your compassion] which from that bad association [I was in before] has caused me to attain the association of your dearmost [i.e., Śrī Rūpa] and of Śrīman Caitanyadeva in Nīlācala …
रथोपरि तव श्रीमन्मुखदर्शनकौतुकम् ।
पुनर्वृन्दावनं ह्येतत्तत्तत्क्रीडास्पदं तव ॥६॥
rathopari tava śrīman-mukha-darśana-kautukam |
punar vṛndāvanaṁ hy etat tat-tat-krīḍāspadaṁ tava ||6||
… [that power of your compassion which has caused me to attain] the delight of the darśana of your beautiful face aboard the chariot [there in Nīlācala], and again in Vṛndāvana, this abode of your various plays …
गोपिका यस्य सत्कीर्तिं भवांश्चावर्णयन्गुणान् ।
दूरस्थाः श्रवणाद्यस्य लभन्ते प्रेम ते शुभाः ॥७॥
gopikā yasya sat-kīrtiṁ bhavāṁś cāvarṇayan guṇān |
dūrasthāḥ śravaṇād yasya labhante prema te śubhāḥ ||7||
… [this abode of Vṛndāvana] whose eternal glory and qualities the gopikās and you too describe, by hearing of which [even] the fortunate situated far away [from Vṛndāvana] attain prema for you …
चराचरं प्राणिजातं यस्य त्वत्प्रेमसंप्लुतम् ।
नित्यमद्यापि यस्मिंस्त्वं पूर्ववत्क्रीडसि स्फुटम् ॥८॥
carācaraṁ prāṇi-jātaṁ yasya tvat-prema-saṁplutam |
nityam adyāpi yasmiṁs tvaṁ pūrvavat krīḍasi sphuṭam ||8||
… [this Vṛndāvana] the mobile and immobile living beings of which are completely floating in prema for you, and wherein you always, even today, play manifestly as before …
अत्रैव त्वत्प्रियं यश्च मदेकधनजीवनम् ।
प्रापयन्मे पुनः सङ्गं तस्मै नित्यं नमो नमः ॥९॥
atraiva tvat-priyaṁ yaś ca mad-eka-dhana-jīvanam |
prāpayan me punaḥ saṅgaṁ tasmai nityaṁ namo namaḥ ||9||
… [that power of your compassion] which has also caused me to attain again here the association of your dear one who is my very wealth and life [i.e., Śrī Rūpa]—obeisance and obeisance forever unto that [power of your compassion].
अधुना यो मम मुखान्निःसारयति नाम ते ।
कदाचिच्चरणाम्भोजं हृदि मे स्मारयत्यपि ॥१०॥
adhunā yo mama mukhān niḥsārayati nāma te |
kadācic caraṇāmbhojaṁ hṛdi me smārayaty api ||10||
[That power of your compassion] Which now causes your name to flow from my mouth and sometimes causes remembrance of your lotus feet in my heart …
मत्कायेनाधमेनापि नमस्ते कारयेदयम् ।
सर्वापद्भ्योऽपि मां रक्षेद्दद्यात्ते भक्तिसम्पदम् ॥११॥
mat-kāyenādhamenāpi namas te kārayed ayam |
sarvāpadbhyo’pi māṁ rakṣed dadyāt te bhakti-sampadam ||11||
… [and which] can cause obeisances unto you to be performed even by this lowly body of mine, [that power of your compassion which] can protect me even from all calamities, and can bestow upon me the wealth of bhakti to you …
दातुं शक्नोति मेऽजस्रं प्रेमस्मरणकीर्तनम् ।
तव प्रेमकटाक्षं च मयि प्रापयितुं क्षमः ॥१२॥
dātuṁ śaknoti me’jasraṁ prema-smaraṇa-kīrtanam |
tava prema-kaṭākṣaṁ ca mayi prāpayituṁ kṣamaḥ ||12||
… [that power of your compassion which] is able to grant me constant remembrance and [engagement in] kīrtana [filled] with prema, [and] has the ability to cause me to attain your side-long glance of prema …
गोगोपगोपिकासक्तं त्वां च दर्शयितुं प्रभुः ।
एवं यो मम हीनस्य सर्वाशालम्बनं परम् ॥१३॥
go-gopa-gopikāsaktaṁ tvāṁ ca darśayituṁ prabhuḥ |
evaṁ yo mama hīnasya sarvāśālambanaṁ param ||13||
… and which has the capability to cause me to see you surrounded by the cows, gopas, and gopikās, and in this way is the ultimate basis of all the hopes of my lowly self— …
महाकारुण्यमहिमा पुराणो नित्यनूतनः ।
त्वदीयः सच्चिदानन्दस्तस्मै नित्यं नमो नमः ॥१४॥
mahākāruṇya-mahimā purāṇo nitya-nūtanaḥ |
tvadīyaḥ sac-cid-ānandas tasmai nityaṁ namo namaḥ ||14||
… obeisance and obeisance forever unto that great, primordial, [yet] ever-new, real, conscious, and blissful power of your compassion.
