nijām ujjvalitāṁ bhakti-sudhām arpayituṁ kṣitau

nijām ujjvalitāṁ bhakti-sudhām arpayituṁ kṣitau |
uditaṁ taṁ śacī-garbha-vyomni pūrṇaṁ vidhuṁ bhaje ||

“I worship him, the full moon arisen in the sky of Śacī’s womb to bestow upon the earth the nectar of brilliant bhakti to himself.”

saṅgatir bhavatu me bhave bhave ||

“Birth after birth, in Vraja let me have the companionship of Kṛṣṇa [Dāsa] the king (rājā) of poets (kavi), on the strength of whose association this astonishing and superlative narration about pearls [i.e., this composition entitled Muktā-carita] has been composed by me.”

[Raghunātha Dāsa Gosvāmī:] “Taking a blade of grass between my teeth, I pray again and again, ‘May I be a speck of dust at the lotus feet of Śrīmad Rūpa birth after birth.‘”

rūpaṁ tasyāgrajam uru-purīṁ māthurīṁ goṣṭha-vāṭīm |
rādhā-kuṇḍaṁ giri-varam aho rādhikā-mādhavāśāṁ
prāpto yasya prathita-kṛpayā śrī-guruṁ taṁ nato’smi ||

“I offer obeisance unto śrī-guru, he by whose celebrated grace I have received the supreme name, the mantra, the Son of Śacī, Svarūpa, Rūpa, his elder brother [i.e., Sanātana], the great abode of Mathurā, Vṛndāvana, Rādhā Kuṇḍa, the best of mountains [i.e., Govardhana], and aho!, hope of [personally serving] Rādhikā and Mādhava.”
