Sāraṅga-raṅgadā-ṭīkā

rāsa-līlā jayaty eṣā yayā saṁyujyate’niśam

rāsa-līlā jayaty eṣā yayā saṁyujyate’niśam |
harer vidagdhatā-bheryā rādhā-saubhāgya-dundubhiḥ ||
(Sāraṅga-raṅgadā-ṭīkā on Kṛṣṇa-karṇāmṛta: 3)

“This rāsa-līlā—
By which the dundubhi of Rādhā’s charm
Is continuously united
With the bheri of Hari’s cleverness—
Triumphs!”

yad-bhāva-bhāvita-dhiyaḥ praṇayottha-vācāṁ

yad-bhāva-bhāvita-dhiyaḥ praṇayottha-vācāṁ
mudrāpi durgamatamā muni-puṅgavānām |
rāsotsukaṁ madana-mohanam acyutaṁ taṁ
rādhā-samedhita-rasollasitaṁ nato’smi ||

“I offer obeisance unto him,
Acyuta,
The Enchanter of Madana—
Eager for rāsa
And elated with rasa
Greatly increased by Rādhā—
Even the literal expression of the speech
Arising from the uninhibited love
Of those whose minds are imbued with bhāva for whom
Is most difficult to understand
For the foremost of sages.”

bhaktis tvayi sthiratarā bhagavan yadi syād
daivena naḥ phalati divya-kiśora-mūrtiḥ |
muktiḥ svayaṁ mukulitāñjaliḥ sevate’smān
dharmārtha-kāma-gatayaḥ samaya-pratīkṣāḥ ||
(Kṛṣṇa-karṇāmṛta: 107)

“O Bhagavān, if our bhakti to you would become more steadfast, [then] your divine adolescent figure will manifest [before us], mukti herself will serve us with joined palms, and the attainments of dharma, artha, and kāma will await their chance [to serve].”

“Sweet, swee Is this Lord’s figure.
Sweet, sweet, swee Is his face.

saṅketāvasare cyute praṇayataḥ saṁsajjayā rādhayā
prārabhya bhrū-kuṭiṁ hiraṇya-raśanā-dāmnā nibaddhodaram |
kārttikyāṁ jananī-kṛtotsava-vara-prastāvanā-pūrvakaṁ
cāṭūni prathayan tam ātta-pulakaṁ dhyāyema dāmodaram ||

“When he missed the time of a tryst [planned for the full moon night in the month of Kārttika, and arrived late], fully prepared Rādhā, out of praṇaya [lsy., intimate love], first furrowed her brows and then bound him around the belly with the band of her golden girdle. When he coaxed her, explaining he had been at the commencement of the grand festival conducted by his mother for Kārttika, she released him. Let us meditate on Dāmodara, seized by horripilation [upon being bound and released by his beloved Rādhā].”
