Kṛṣṇa-bhakta

vande vṛndāvanādhīśau priya-varga-samanvitau

vande vṛndāvanādhīśau priya-varga-samanvitau |
tal-līlākṛṣṭa-cittebhyas tad-bhaktebhyo namo namaḥ ||
(Sadānanda-dāyinī-ṭīkā on Govinda-līlāmṛta: 1.1)

“I offer obeisance
To the two Adhīśas of Vṛndāvana
Accompanied by the circle
Of their dear ones.
Obeisance and obeisance
Unto their bhaktas,
Whose hearts are attracted to their līlā.”

nirapekṣaṁ muniṁ śāntaṁ nirvairaṁ sama-darśanam |
anuvrajāmy ahaṁ nityaṁ pūyeyety aṅghri-reṇubhiḥ ||
(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: 11.14.16)

[Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa:] “I always follow one who is indifferent, contemplative, peaceful, free from enmity, and of equal vision so that I may be purified by the dust of his feet.”

tatraivotpadyate dainyaṁ tat premāpi sadā satām

tatraivotpadyate dainyaṁ tat premāpi sadā satām |
tat-tac-chūnyam ivāraṇya-sarid-giry-ādi paśyatām ||
sadā hāhā-ravākrānta-vadanānāṁ tathā hṛdi |
mahā-santāpa-dagdhānāṁ sva-priyaṁ parimṛgyatām ||
(Bṛhad Bhāgavatāmṛta: 2.5.242–243)

[Uddhava to Nārada and Gopa Kumāra:] “There [i.e., in Bhauma Vraja], such humility (dainya) and prema always arise within the sādhus who see such forests [i.e., forests such as Vṛndāvana], waters [such as the Yamunā], mountains [such as Govardhana], and so forth as though empty, [those sādhus] whose mouths are filled with cries of “Hā! Hā!”, and who are burned by intense sorrow at heart as they search for their Beloved.”

tad-bhāva-bhāvita-svāntāḥ

tad-bhāva-bhāvita-svāntāḥ kṛṣṇa-bhaktā itīritāḥ ||
te sādhakāś ca siddhāś ca dvi-vidhāḥ parikīrtitāḥ ||
(Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu: 2.1.273, 275)

“[The definition of a Kṛṣṇa-bhakta:] Those whose hearts are imbued with that bhāva [i.e., their particular, highly exalted and personally desired rati for Kṛṣṇa] are called Kṛṣṇa-bhaktas. … They are said to be of two types: sādhakas and siddhas.”

na kaścin mat-paraṁ loke tejasā yaśasā śriyā |
vibhūtibhir vābhibhaved devo’pi kim u pārthivaḥ ||
(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: 10.72.11)

[Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa:] “No one in this world, [not] even a deva, much less a king, with power, fame, beauty, or resources, can subjugate one who is given over to me [i.e., one who has nothing in the world except me, so there is certainly no way anyone can subjugate you, Yudhiṣṭhira].”

man-manā bhava mad-bhakto mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru |
mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te pratijāne priyo’si me ||
(Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā: 18.65)

“Be of mind fixed on me, [be] my bhakta, [be] my worshipper. Offer obeisance to me. Certainly you will come to me. Truly, I promise you this, for you are dear to me.”

pratiṣṭhāśā dhṛṣṭā śvapaca-ramaṇī me hṛdi naṭet

pratiṣṭhāśā dhṛṣṭā śvapaca-ramaṇī me hṛdi naṭet
kathaṁ sādhu-premā spṛśati śucir etan nanu manaḥ |
sadā tvaṁ sevasva prabhu-dayita-sāmantam atulaṁ
yathā tāṁ niṣkāsya tvaritam iha taṁ veśayati saḥ ||
(Stavāvalī: Manaḥ-śikṣā, 7)

“The low-class shrew of desire for pratiṣṭhā is dancing in my heart, so how will the pure prema of the sādhus ever touch it? O mind! You should always serve the unrivaled chieftain of Prabhu’s devotee so that he will immediately banish this shrew and instill pure prema therein [i.e., within your heart].”

pratiṣṭhā-rajjūbhir baddhaṁ kāmādyair vartma-pātibhiḥ |
chittvā tāḥ saṁharantas tān aghāreḥ pāntu māṁ bhaṭāḥ ||
(Vraja-vilāsa-stava: 1)

“I have been bound with the ropes of pratiṣṭhā by the highwaymen of kāma and so forth. May the soldiers of Agha’s Foe [i.e., Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s bhaktas] protect me by cutting away these ropes and routing these highwaymen.”
