(Prīti Sandarbha: 78)
“Although this [i.e., prīti] is undivided [i.e., a singular, indivisible entity], it manifests itself in a gradation in accord with a gradation in the manifestation of its support (ālambana), [viz.,] Bhagavān. Thus existing as such, on account of Śrī Kṛṣṇa alone being shown in his sandarbha [i.e., Kṛṣṇa Sandarbha] to be Svayaṁ Bhagavān, its [i.e., prīti’s] ultimate standing is solely in relation to him [i.e., the ultimate manifestation of prīti has only Svayaṁ Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa for its object, and all manifestations of prīti for other forms of Śrī Bhagavān, such as Śrī Rāma, Śrī Viṣṇu, and so on, are of a lesser degree of completion].”

“He [i.e., Kṛṣṇa,] is also [classed to be] of four types, which are described by the names dhīrodātta, dhīra-lalita, dhīra-praśānta, and dhīroddhata. Because of the differences between the various līlās of he of lotus navel [i.e., Kṛṣṇa], who is an abode of numerous types of qualities and activities, these four types [of classification of him] are not contradictory [i.e., he can display the characteristics of all four types of nāyakas at various times].”

[Parīkṣit Mahārāja to Śukadeva Gosvāmī:] “O brāhmaṇa, what auspicious activity did the greatly prosperous Nanda, or the greatly fortunate Yaśodā, from whose breast Hari drank, perform?”

“The name ‘Rādhā’ is fresh, beautiful, charming nectar, and the name ‘Kṛṣṇa’ is sweet, wonderfully condensed milk. O my hunger-stricken tongue! Enrich these with the fragrant camphor of rāga (love) and drink them at every moment.”
