हे श्रीगदाधर दयासरितां पतिस्त्वं
प्रेम्णा वशीकृतशचीतनयो विभुश्च ।
पद्मावतीतनय एव तथा वशस्ते
किं ते ब्रवीमि मयि मुढवरे कृपायै ॥
he śrī-gadādhara dayā-saritāṁ patis tvaṁ
premṇā vaśīkṛta-śacī-tanayo vibhuś ca |
padmāvatī-tanaya eva tathā vaśas te
kiṁ te bravīmi mayi muḍha-vare kṛpāyai ||
(Sādhanāmṛta-candrikā: 1.11)
“O Śrī Gadādhara! You are the master of rivers of grace [i.e., an ocean of grace]. You have capably captivated the Son of Śacī with your prema, and so too the Son of Padmāvatī is captivated by you. What can I say to you? Please bestow your grace upon me, the greatest of fools.”
