api kalpānilasyaiva taraṅgasya mahodadheḥ |
śakyate prasaro roddhuṁ nānuraktasya cetasaḥ ||

“Even the course of strong winds and the waves of a great ocean can be checked, but not that of a loving heart.”

“A woman who is distressed when her husband is distressed, pleased when he is happy, and unclean and emaciated when he is abroad, and who dies when her husband dies, is to be known as devoted to her husband.”

“Deva is never present in wood or in stone. Deva is present in bhāva. Therefore, cultivate bhāva.”
tattvam ātmastham ajñātvā mūḍhaḥ śāstreṣu muhyati |
gopaḥ kakṣa-gate chāge kūpe paśyati durmatiḥ ||

“Unaware of the truth situated in the ātmā, the fool becomes bewildered in the śāstras just like a foolish cowherd who looks in a well for a goat [which he is unaware is] in his arms.”
