ब्राह्मणा जातितः पूज्या वेदाभ्यासात्ततः परम् ॥
brāhmaṇā jātitaḥ pūjyā vedābhyāsāt tataḥ param ||

“Brāhmaṇas are worthy of honor by birth (jāti), and more so by study of the Veda.”
