कराविव शरीरस्य नेत्रयोरिव पक्ष्मणी ।
अविचार्य प्रियं कुर्यात्तन्मित्रं मित्र उच्यते ॥
karāv iva śarīrasya netrayor iva pakṣmaṇī |
avicārya priyaṁ kuryāt tan-mitraṁ mitra ucyate ||

“Like the hands of the body and the lids of the eyes, that friend who without deliberation does what is kind is said to be a [real] friend.”
