anavāpyaṁ ca śokena
anavāpyaṁ ca śokena śarīraṁ copatapyate |
amitrāś ca prahṛṣyanti mā sma śoke manaḥ kṛthā ||

“Through grief, there is nothing to be attained, the body becomes afflicted, and adversaries rejoice. The mind should never succumb to grief.”
