Ahaitukatva

asmil loke vartamānaḥ svadharmastho’naghaḥ śuciḥ

asmil̐ loke vartamānaḥ svadharmastho’naghaḥ śuciḥ |
jñānaṁ viśuddham āpnoti mad-bhaktiṁ vā yadṛcchayā ||
(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: 11.20.11)

“While existing in this world, one who is situated in one’s own dharma, sinless, and pure attains pure jñāna, or, bhakti to me independently.”

sa vai puṁsāṁ paro dharmo yato bhaktir adhokṣaje |
ahaituky apratihatā yayātmā suprasīdati ||

“That [dharma] because of which causeless and unobstructed bhakti to Adhokṣaja [i.e., Bhagavān, lit., ‘he who is transcendent’] can come to be, and by which the self [i.e., the mind] becomes fully satisfied, is alone the highest dharma for humanity.”

“Obeisance unto the moon Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the embodiment of unconditional grace, who became the form of Śrī Caitanya and distributed prema-rasa in [the Age of] Kali.”

dhyāyantu bhūtāni śivaṁ mitho dhiyā |
manaś ca bhadraṁ bhajatād adhokṣaje

[Prahlāda Mahārāja prays to Śrī Nṛsiṁhadeva:] “May there be auspiciousness throughout the universe! May the wicked be pacified! May all beings meditate with their intelligence upon the welfare of one another! May their minds cultivate well-being! And may our hearts be immersed unconditionally in the Transcendent [i.e., Bhagavān]!”

“O Master of the universe,
I desire neither wealth,
Nor men [i.e., assistants, followers, relatives, etc.],

Or otherwise [i.e., mukti].
In birth after birth, O Īśvara,
Let me have unconditional bhakti to you.”

mad-guṇa-śruti-mātreṇa mayi sarva-guhāśaye |
mano-gatir avicchinnā yathā gaṅgāmbhaso’mbudhau ||
lakṣaṇaṁ bhakti-yogasya nirguṇasya hy udāhṛtam |
ahaituky avyavahitā yā bhaktiḥ puruṣottame ||

“‘[Kapiladeva to Devahūti:] Bhakti which is an uninterrupted, causeless, and unobstructed flow of the mind—solely because of hearing my qualities—towards me, the Supreme Person, who dwells in the hearts [lit., “caves”] of all, like [the flow of] the water of the Gaṅgā towards the ocean, is said to be the characteristic of nirguṇa-bhakti-yoga.”
